SAFER SPACE

At Lahti Pride we want to create spaces and opportunities for meetings, learning and for fostering a sense of community and openness.

Everyone taking part in our events should feel safe, which means harrassment or discrimination of any kind is strictly forbidden.

If you experience inappropriate treatment in any of our events, please tell the event organiser and they will help you handle the situation. You can also contact Lahden Seta’s harrassment contact persons.

  • Discrimination, racism and harassment of any kind is strictly forbidden.

  • Respect the boundaries set by others and yourself, both physical and mental.

  • No means no. Stop or change your behaviour, if someone asks you to.

  • Do not make assumptions about another person’s sex, sexual orientation, ability or any other characteristic.

  • Be open and listen – do not assume or generalise anyone’s experience. Respect everyone’s right to define or not define themselves as they wish.

  • Give space! Make sure everyone is heard and can take part in the discussion.

  • It is everyone’s responsibility to uphold the principles of a safer space. If you witness discrimination, racism or harassment, step in.
